My brush stopped working on my Miele. I thought the power brush end had died so I ordered a replacement. The replacement didn't fix the problem. I took my vac to a repair shop to determine the problem since if not the brush it was likely the wand or the hose.

Well the problem was operator error (me). The HEPA filter inside the lid was not seated properly and the lid was not fully closing. Neither the shop nor I could easily see it but the top was maybe 1/16" from being fully closed on the side. But just enough to prevent the electrical connection to the hose and thus the brush from being made. He seated the filter, closed the lid, and everything worked fine.

I returned the brush for a refund. But it's a perfectly good brush, I just didn't need a new one. Yet. I will definitely reorder it when mine dies for real.
