Our "warm" white LED rope lights have a color temperature of approximately 3,000 on the Kelvin scale. This means that the white light they emit will have a slightly yellowish hue. This "warm" white light is more consistent with the light from a standard incandescent bulb.

LEDs (Light emitting diodes) are the new wave of light technology. LEDs are basically tiny light bulbs that, unlike ordinary incandescent bulbs, have no filament. Because they have no filament, they require less energy, produce less heat, and last a great deal longer. Beats the heck out of hunting for just the right length of rope lighting store-by-store. Easy to put together although polarity will likely require the power connection to be tried at both ends before the lights will activate. If at first you don't succeed, disconnect the power coupling and place it at the other end. If you plan to make a number of separate rope lights, be sure to order enough power cords. The 51 piece accessory kit only comes with one. Replacing a couple of 'burned out' ropes, I was able to make the old fused power cords work just fine.
