We bought this after always having full bedspreads, so I was very concerned about the size and weight. I was pleasantly surprised that with a nice bedskirt (bought separately), it is large enough and a very nice mid-weight. It's taking some getting used to that it doesn't cover the bed pillows, but that's certainly not the fault of the comforter. The photo is accurate.
