I ordered this product, and was then informed via email by the seller that the Allersoft organic mattress encasements are now branded as "Bedcare". I received a "Bedcare organic cotton twin 9 inch mattress encasement". It was a little confusing, but I was okay with it. Not sure why this item is still listed and pictured as "Allersoft". Interestingly, the listings on Amazon for the Bedcare products have a higher price.
The Bedcare product I received is a total mattress encasement made of thick, sturdy cotton material that is cream-colored. It appears high quality as it should be for the price. It doesn't have any smell to it, chemical or otherwise. I have machine-washed it in hot water and dried it on medium heat and it laundered very well. The zipper closes very snugly without a gap. This product is very baggy on a twin mattress of eight inch depth, but that doesn't bother me. I would much rather it be too baggy than too tight. It is easier to get on and off with two people, but I could do it myself if necessary.
I would have given five stars if not for the confusion of getting something different than I ordered, or if the price was just a little lower. All in all a very nice product and I would buy it again.
