Numbers LED Alarm Clock by Jonas Damon (Black with Red LED) Review
Aesthetically (which would be the primary reason for purchasing) this fails......First, the "adjustable" brightness is really limited. I purchased the white LED version. There are two settings - REALLY bright and ALMOST REALLY bright. That's it. I would have preferred the ability to dim the LEDs to a more natural brightness - about half of what they are on the "low" setting. I'm looking into getting some window tint film to place over the LEDs and dim them further. That should not be necessary, but unfortunately it is.
The cable connecting the 4 blocks is thick and somewhat inflexible. This limits the display possibilities and in turn, sort of diminishes the entire idea behind the clock. You can place all 4 blocks in a row and spread them out a couple inches..... you can try stacking the blocks. However, due to the thick cables the blocks have a tendency to turn and not face forward. This sort of ruins that configuration. You can't really mix up the blocks because the thick cable wants to run straight through all 4. So trying to mix them up results in the blocks twisting and turning often causing a number to not be seen from a given angle. With a mere 5-6 inches of cord between the block, those are pretty much your only configuration choices. I would have preferred 10-12 inches of cabling and a more flexible cable to allow some unique configurations or placement of the blocks.
All that being posted, the clock does function. So, electronically it's solid. But for the price, do yourself a favor and find a more conventional clock, you'll get many more features.
I will most likely tear mine apart to address the issues I've posted about cabling. I would NOT purchase again. Not even for half the cost.
