We just got a new bed, which was a bit shorter than our old one, so we used small risers under the frame so that our long bedspreads wouldn't drag on the floor. Then, of course, our 15" bedskirt didn't fit anymore. I wanted a white gathered bedskirt with either hemstitching or scalloped edges with an 18" drop. (This proved very difficult to find. Ideally, I wanted a detachable bedskirt, but that was impossible to find.) So I ordered this one from Amazon, despite the fact that I couldn't find any reviews here or elsewhere. It arrived yesterday and is quite beautiful. It seems very well made. I ironed and starched it after washing it, and it looks very nice on the bed. Quite classy, but not frilly. Really very beautiful. However, I was very disapointed to read on the label that the bedskirt has to line dry. Had I known that, I doubt I would have ordered it (now that I have it and like it so much, I am going to live with it). If it were detachable, I wouldn't care that it needs to line dry. But as of now, when it is time to wash the bedskirt, it will be an all-day chore because I'd have to remove the mattress, wash the bedskirt, hang it and wait for it to dry (I have allergies, so I can't hang things outside; I use a garment rack inside instead), iron & starch it (which takes about an hour), and only then can I put the bed back together. (I might eventually get another bedskirt so that I could just throw one back on, but I don't know that I really need that many, and it was pretty difficult to find even one that met my requirements.) Now, when I ironed it yesterday, the bedskirt was still a bit damp, but I wanted to get the bed put back together and was tired of waiting for it to dry. The slightly damp bedskirt didn't shrink or anything (I measured before and after, just to make sure), which makes me think that it probably really could go in the dryer on very low heat or air dry, at least until it was mostly dry. I might try that next time because I don't want to have to wait around for several hours for the bedskirt to dry.
One other thing--the bedskirt seems to be about half an inch too wide for my standard queen bed, so I am going to have to buy some of those corkscrew-style bedskirt pins because right now, it is hanging a little too low on one side. This is a minor annoyance, but I thought I'd mention it.
But honestly, this is a lovely bedskirt, and it seems to be very well-made. It is soft, there were no loose threads or flaws that I saw--very straight seams and good workmanship, which I would have expected, given the price. But the drying instructions do complicate things a bit, so I wanted to let other shoppers know about that.
