Purchased through amazon via Suncoast Deals. Chipper failed on first use. Worked intermittently then ceased to operate. Not UL listed which was an assumption on my part. It was not described as such but I assumed it would be given that I thought it was a US company. Regardless of vendor status, product is manufactured in China. Could not locate a phone number to contact company in enclosed literature. Seller responds quickly by saying customer service is closed but they will respond the next day. once they did, once they did not. They are allowed 2 or 3 days to respond but if they indicate to me a certain date I expect them to follow up. My return instructions were: "Please return it via UPS Ground (NOT FEDEX or POST OFFICE) and we will be happy to replace it at no charge. Return to: SUN COAST DEALS; 567 Paul Morris Drive; Englewood FL, 34223.

The chipper must arrive back to us in new condition with all original contents & packaging. Likewise, please leave the original shipping carton in new condition, no writing on it, no duct tape, etc. You are responsible for getting it back to us safely and intact. Items not received as detailed will be subject to a minimum 20% restocking/refurbishing fee prior to being sent new product."

My response was: "Just to be clear, I am going to have to dismantle the product and repackage it somehow. I will have to look for the original box, however since your response arrived after my trash pick-up I will have to check if my husband kept it or trashed the package, in which case I will have to purchase a box to ship it in. Then I will need to travel to a UPS site and pay to ship it back to you. If I have to purchase a new carton to ship it in, then you will charge me a 20% restocking fee. For all of my inconvenience, frustration and additional expense I receive an apology and a replacement wood chipper. Please verify that this is correct. I would like to know if a refund without replacement is an option upon returning the item. Thank you." I am waiting for a response. I recommend buying an established product with multiple reviews and an established customer service for maintenance and repair. Also choose a UL listed product that ensures an extra level of testing for safety.
