this is a great throw, but not one that would want to use year round. very large - almost blanket size - and very heavy. good when very cold. i have not washed yet so do not know how will launder. I down rated it somewhat due to the price. while a very nice throw, is twice the price of many other very nice throws. not sure I would buy again.
